TEACHERS

Mr. D. - Jim (Jimmy Jukebox) Dowling (Dip T, GDME) is the director of STARS & IDOLS.

Mr. D has been a professional musician and school music teacher for many years with qualifications in both classroom and music teaching. He creates and organises all lessons and programs for Stars & Idols.

Mr. D sings and plays guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, flute & harmonica. .

‘Jimmy’ performs either solo as "Jimmy Jukebox" or with other musicians/singers... "Jimmy and Katie", "Jimmy and Friends" and the "Jerry Hatrick Band" which are always in demand for functions.

 

 

 
 
 		  

 

 

  
   
   

 

    
 
 

 

  

 

   

Bart Thrupp - Band director, musician.

Bart is an up and coming local musician with international aspirations. His latest song, 'Girl in a Fish Bowl" is already on rotation on CFM radio. He sings and plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.

Bart teaches bands on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the present time and takes some singing classes.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

  
   
Ben and Dana are two of our teaching assistants who support Mr. D and Bart with their expertise on their particular instruments.

 

 
 
Dana plays keyboard, guitar and drums. She also assists with singing lessons as she is a great singer and is very good with harmonies.

 

 

 

  
 

 

 
 
 
 

 

 

Ben is a superb drummer and also plays guitar and bass. He is also the studio's official trainee and is very good with equipment operation.
